About Clinton, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Founded by a pair of property investors, Clinton was one of the tons of prairie townships that leapt up in this part of Illinois, and across the prairie states.  Love history?  Well, Clinton has plenty of it.  Abraham Lincoln, Stephen Douglas, and David Davis each visited the town and left their imprint on the local history. The railroad was an even more important factor in the development and progress of the town. It changed the town from a rough frontier settlement into a thriving community of hard-working people.  The railroad created the opportunity for trade and services. Locals owned businesses.  Seasons changed and years passed by and, just like that, the Great Depression hit. This was a terrible time in US history and Clinton was certainly hit hard by the events.

But, this town has not lost its charm and no one could ever take away its history.  The town’s legacy in American history and in Illinois culture is significant and relevant.  The influences can be seen locally.  But, they can be best understood through historical context.   The state pf Illinois has numerous museums.  Examples include: John G. Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum of Natural History, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Adler Planetarium, and the Museum of Science and Industry, all in Chicago.   Looking for something to do while in Clinton?  Chicago is just a day trip away from Clinton.  Spend a cold winter’s day exploring history, science or art inside in the comfort of the heat while sipping a coffee.

Another amazing museum is The modern Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield.  It is the largest presidential library in the nation.  It also attracts the most visitors.  The Illinois State Museum is among only 5% of the nation's museums that are accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.   It is an insanely beautiful and amazingly curated museum that you will just have to see to believe.   The area also has two zoos, which are perfect for warm weather outdoor family fun.
